Nazi UFOs: Operation Paperclip

In VERY brief, it is today known that end the very end of WWII, the Germans were working on "flying discs," which probably were only radio (remote) controlled. German and American soldiers alike referred to them as "Foo-Fighters." In addition to the above search results, I actually have in my possession a photocopy of a January 1945 copy of Current Science and Aviation sent to HQ by a nice man who visited Roswell. It reads, "Latest Nazi aerial weapon is the "foo-fighter" ..." mysterious red and silver balls of fire which follow allied planes at speeds of 300 miles per hour. It is not yet known..." More research shows that German soldiers reported them as well, also unsure what they were. They may not even be the same phenomena as the "true" flying discs from other reports, such as these below.
"Some of the earliest stories about German flying saucers date back to an inventor named Victor Schauberger ... One of Schauberger's projects was to produce a flying machine, saucer shaped, that used a "liquid vortex propulsion" system. His theory was that "if water or air is rotated into a twisting form of oscillation, known as a 'colloidal,' a build-up of energy results, which, with immense power, can cause levitation." ... There are also reports that, according to a letter Victor Schauberger wrote to a friend, a full-sized prototype of one of his designs was constructed using prison labor at the Mauhausen concentration camp. This craft flew on February 19th of 1945 near Prague and obtained an altitude of 45,000 feet in only 3 minutes. The letter goes on to say the prototype was destroyed by the Nazis before it could be captured by the Allies."
"As Sir Roy Feddon, Chief of the Technical Mission to Germany for the Ministry of Aircraft Production stated in 1945...
"I have seen enough of their designs and production plans to realize that if they (the Germans) had managed to prolong the war some months longer, we would have been confronted with a set of entirely new and deadly developments in air warfare."
... That these events occurred is also supported by former CIA agent Virgil Armstrong who commented "We know that in the early parts of the war there were certain factions of the Allied forces that did not believe he (Hitler) had a secret weapon and it wasn’t until the Americans made much emphasis of this that they began to look at it seriously and indeed did discover that Hitler not only had a secret weapon, he had what we would call today a UFO or spacecraft.
So cutting to the chase, Operation Paperclip was a formerly classified (until 1973) Top Secret project in which the American government imported appx 126 German scientists after the war. The OSS (now the CIA) cleaned up their records because President Truman did not want to let "true" Nazis into the US, much less put them on the payroll. But they did, because they wanted this very technology - either they did it or the Russians would do it (and may have for that matter with other scientists). The "operation" is so old now, that at least some of it's secrets are no longer classified. It turns out however that the chief scientist on the NASA Apollo moon project - Dr. Wernher von Braun - was a former Nazi scientist. The "damage controllers" have always maintained that "they weren't really Nazis" but were simply men of science forced to work for the Nazis. Truth or Fiction? You decide.

The ‘FOO FIGHTERS’ of World War Two (ufo's)

Piots during World War II reported small sphere or fireball like objects flying near or beside bombers or fighters. Allies and Axis pilots thought the flying objects were secret weapons, from the oposing side. The Allied pilots named these mysterious flying craft, “FOO FIGHTERS”.

This photo has been in public view since at least the 1960′s. There is some question what make these aircraft are. Some experts say the planes are R.A.F. Lysanders, others say they are Tahikawa KI 34′s (recon) from 1942. The UFO’s are plainly seen.

FOO FIGHTERS THEORIES:

FOO FIGHTERS is the name given to the general body of spherical, circular, disc-like, or wedged shaped “bogies,” sometimes seeming to glow, shine, or reflect a high degree of illumination seen mostly by World War II pilots or flight crews. They usually paralleled or followed aircraft and were seen by aviators on all sides of the action, being reported by American, British, German and Japanese crews. No Foo Fighter was known or reported to have made or attempted any sort of contact, interaction or attack. They were known, however, for their high rate of speed and agility, being much faster than any known aircraft at the time as well as being extremely maneuverable, often exhibiting highly unconventional abilities such as instantaneous acceleration and deceleration, rapid climbing and descent, and hovering in place.
In today’s world a Foo Fighter would be called a UFO, an Unidentified Flying Object, of which, by all accounts, Foo Fighters were. Some descriptions such as “glowing balls of light” or “spherical fire” do not fit the conventional image of UFOs, but the disc and wedge shaped objects do — as does the unconventional maneuverability. Both those aspects, disc or wedge shape and unconventional maneuverability, have been attributed to many UFO or Flying Saucer accounts, but most especially so to one of the most high profile ones, the so-called Roswell UFO, wherein an object of unknown nature broke up over the barren ranchland near Roswell, New Mexico, late one night in July, 1947.
Although the Roswell Incident was originally reported in the local paper within a few days of the crash by The Roswell Daily Record as being a flying saucer or a flying disc, the main body of the object was reported by some eyewitnesses as being wedge or delta shaped. William Curry Holden, an archaeologist, reportedly stumbled across the downed craft early in the morning following the crash, one of the first to see it, and described it as “as looking like a crashed airplane without wings with a flat fuselage” with some reports implying the fuselage had a definite delta or wedge shape to it. It must be stated in contrast, however, that another archaeologist, William Lawrence Campbell, known as Cactus Jack, albeit not nearly so high ranking or reputable in the field as Holden and classified by many as not much more than a Pothunter — but who had nevertheless seen the aerial apparitions called Foo Fighters during World War II first hand himself — reported being “out there when the spaceship came down” and seeing a “round object but not real big.”



P-61 BLACK WIDOW NIGHT FIGHTER

England entered the war long before the U.S. What became known as Foo Fighters were reported by the British as early as September 1941, with regular sightings by all sides continuing, except for a several month lull in 1943, throughout the war. On the U.S. side, although sightings occurred periodically before the deployment of P-61 Black Widows in Europe, it was the night fighter pilots of Black Widows that were among the first American military men to regularly report seeing Foo Fighters, saying “unknown objects” followed or paralleled their planes and glowed in the dark. It is said the night fighters shot at them a few times, but the fire was never returned. It is also thought it was the pilots of the Black Widows that finally gave the UFOs the nickname that stuck: “Foo-Fighters,” a term picked up from the then popular Smokey Stover comic strip.

Interestingly enough, with all the sightings and reports, and all the gun cameras and high altitude photographs, no truly GOOD pictures of Foo Fighters from the period have surfaced.

The photo below what is alleged to be both a wedge-shaped and spherical-shaped Foo Fighter together with two Japanese planes is perhaps the most often depicted when citing Foo Fighters. The photo, from the 1975 photo-history by G. De Turris & S. Fusco, “Obiettivo sugli UFO,” has both its supporters and detractors. If the picture was taken by Japanese photographers, which it surely must have been, it would seem, except for a quest for truth, they would have no vested interest in continuing or falsely perpetrating a myth. If, however, the photo was altered after the fact that would be another story. The question to be asked, if you were going to alter a picture, why start with such a dumb photograph when there must be thousands upon thousands of other pictures one could select?

TACHIKAWA-KAWASAKI KL-36 FIGHTERS AS SEEN AS WITH FOO FIGHTER “BOGIES”

On July 16, 1945 at 5:29:45 a.m. Mountain War Time, at the Trinity Site, White Sands, New Mexico, somewhat west of the city of Roswell and long before it became famous for the Roswell UFO the first nuclear explosive device on Earth was set off. Shortly after that test and especially so after the war the general New Mexico area was inundated by “green fireballs.” Theoreticians in the Air Force believed the fireballs were propelled objects and not natural phenomena, bearing a very close similarity to Foo Fighters. Because of same the noted astronomer and meteorite expert Dr. Lincoln La Paz was called in to investigate.
La Paz, in agreement with the theoreticians, stated that normal fireballs (meteors) are seldom if ever green, their trajectory is forced on them by gravity, and leave meteorites when they plunge to Earth. The green fireballs sighted over New Mexico did none of these things. Neither did they appear to La Paz to be electrostatic phenomena as they moved too regularly and too fast.
The La Paz investigation was called Project Twinkle. As the the investigation wound down a Project Twinkle memo to the Directorate of Intelligence, dated April 3, 1952 came to the conclusion:

A logical explanation was not proffered with respect to the origin of Green Fireballs, it was however generally concluded that the phenomenon existed and should be studied scientifically until these occurrences can be satisfactorily explained. Further, that the continued occurrence of unexplained phenomena of this nature in the vicinity of classified installations is a cause for concern.

Not all aerial objects otherwise left unidentified in World War II were Foo Fighters or unexplained phenomena such as Green Fireballs. Nor were they necessarily small in size either. Some were downright gigantic.
The most infamous was an object seen by literally thousands of people along the coast of California barely three months into the war. The UFO over Los Angeles is mostly forgotten now, but during the early morning hours of February 25, 1942 the whole city and surrounding communities were in an uproar as thousands of rounds of anti aircraft shells were expended to pull down whatever it was out of the sky that night. The slow moving object, said to be as big or bigger than a Zeppelin, was caught in the glare of the searchlights from Santa Monica to Long Beach and seemed impervious to the constant barrage of shells. It eventually disappeared out over the Pacific after cruising along the coast and cutting inland for a while. The huge object was never clearly explained and was basically hushed up without response from the authorities.

Speaking of Zeppelins, during World War I, on the night of January 19, 1915 two German Navy Zeppelins carried out the first successful bombing run against British soil. One year later, although not exactly a Foo Fighter in the World War II classical sense, the FIRST sighting of a UFO from a powered aircraft EVER as well as the first firing on a UFO from the air occurred over England.
David Clarke and Andy Roberts write in their book OUT OF THE SHADOWS: UFOs, the Establishment and the Official Cover-up (London: Piatkus, 2002) that early in January 1916 at the fighter aerodrome at Rochford in Essex outside London around 8:45 PM Flight Sub-Lieutenant J.E. Morgan arose for an anti-Zeppelin patrol in his BE2c fighter. When Morgan reached 5,000 feet he saw a little above and slightly ahead to the right about 100 feet away what he described as “a row of what appeared to be lighted windows which looked something like a railway carriage with the blinds drawn.”
Believing that he had flown directly into the path of an oncoming Zeppelin in the act of preparing to attack London, Morgan drew his service pistol and fired several times in the direction of the “railway carriage.” Immediately, “the lights alongside rose rapidly” and disappeared into the night sky, so rapidly in fact that Morgan believed his own aircraft had gone into a dive. Overcorrecting his actually not out of control aircraft he crashed into Thameshaven Marshes.
A full account of Morgan’s sighting, dubbed “an encounter with a phantom airship” appears in German Air Raids on Great Britain 1914-1918 by Captain Joseph Morris published in 1925. The book was compiled from then classified Air Ministry records, and
Morris refers directly to the airman’s report filed with the War Office. Extensive searches of the Royal Flying Corps records at the Public Record Office have failed to locate Morgan’s original report. The station log from Rochford aerodrome does give brief details of Morgan’s flight with the addition of the word “Zepp” which shows he did have an encounter with something he took to be an enemy airship.
Morgan’s report is NOT included in the official account of the January 31, 1916 raid published by the War Office at the end of the conflict, which charts the movements of the Zeppelin raiders and the attempts by British fliers to intercept them in great detail. There is, however, additional support for the claim that an airborne object of some kind was present over southeastern England during the air raid. Another RFC pilot by the name of McClelland, reported seeing what he described as “a Zeppelin” caught briefly in the glare of searchlights above London at 9 pm, 15 minutes after Morgan’s encounter.
There is a rich vein of declassified material respecting “foo-fighters”. Very many reports have been released by the US and British archives. But for the most part they all have the same failing: they have been heavily censored. If we were dealing here with a natural phenomenon such as Weather Plasma, these reports would not have required the savage deletions to which they have been subjected.
A deletion in an official document is made to protect the issuing authority in some way. It may be an agent´s name: it may be something underhanded that was done: it may be information respecting a weapon which the authority does not wish to be made public.
Both the US and British authorities are agreed in their published summaries regarding the “foo-fighter” phenomenon that the objects were “invulnerable”. No method could be found to shoot one down. If they knew that, somebody at some stage had to have made the attempt to do so. We search in vain through hundreds of documents with their extensive deletions to discover the answer to a single interesting question: When a “foo-fighter” was fired upon by an aircraft’s cannons, what happened to the bullets?  Did they seem to go straight through the thing, or were they rebounded or deflected by some kind of force field?
We are not told, and we are not told because it is something not in the public interest for us to know. Thus we are entitled to suspect that we are on the threshold to the greatest aeronautical mystery ever…
IF:
(i) German scientists developed an anti-aircraft device which remains top secret because it had one singular property unknown to modern Western science.
(ii) German scientists postwar built full scale crewed aircraft at clandestine locations and these aircraft shared the singular property of the foo-fighter unknown to modern science.
(iii) All flying discs and other alleged German UFOs were hoaxes made primarily to disguise (i) and (ii) above,
A foo-fighter was a luminous rounded flying object observed and reported by hundreds of Allied aircrew between September 1943 and March 1945 over the Rhine. A lesser number of reports were filed by crews overflying Japanese controlled territory.
302 sightings were made by 140 crews of US XXI Bomber Command alone. (NARA Intelligence Publications, Air Int Report Volume 1, No 8, 26, IV.1945) and we may take these as a cross-section sample of the whole.
A large percentage of the sightings lasted only 2 to 3 minutes, but some continued for up to 15 minutes.
The “fireballs” were mostly described as around “six inches in diameter”, “the size of a soccer ball”, “about the size of a basketball”. The colour of the illumination was described as a very strong white, although reds, yellows and ambers are also mentioned.
They were invulnerable and could not be shot down or damaged. They could not be picked up on radar. They emitted an electro-magnertic field which damaged aircraft radars. They also emitted great heat, and some aircraft reported scorch damage to the fuselage.
Fireballs approached Allied aircraft from the ground upwards. Between one and three fireballs would then take station about five metres from a wingtip. They were comfortable at 200 knots, but could be evaded at high speeds They seemed able to make up the lost distance if they had the opportunity after falling behind.
On a few occasions, foo-fighters appeared to be launched by German fighters.
Occasionally Allied aircrew reported that the objects fell out of control and were observed to crash and explode on the ground. This would confirm that they were material creations of human technology.
One RAF pilot and navigator, and one USAF air gunner, reported that a fireball transformed suddenly into a small aircraft “with a navigation lamp burning on the left wingtip”.
These aberrations lead us to suspect that the “foo-fighters” were a German aerial device with a singular propensity.
The search now widens in pursuit of a German model aircraft. Dr Renato Vesco was an Italian scientist who worked on secret weapons projects at Lake Garda. In his book “Intercept But Don´t Shoot” (Grove Press, 1971) he described a German remote-controlled anti-aircraft device with a homing facility. It was known as KUGELBLITZ. This word means “ball-lightning” which is a plasmoid.
Vesco never saw a KUGELBLITZ for himself, but it was common talk amongst his scientific colleagues at Lake Garda. In his book he tries to work out how the thing worked. Since an anti-aircraft device just goes up and explodes, he could not understand why the KUGELBLITZ needed a dual propulsion system. There was a hydrogen peroxide engine, and then there was an ion-mercury plasma engine, and for the life of him he did not know what the second one was for.
Was there a German anti-aircraft device known as KUGELBLITZ?
Yes. There are two known declassified documents which describe the machine.
The British report appears in the BIOS intelligence publications. From this, we know that the KUGELBLITZ was an anti-aircraft device, had a hydrogen peroxide system. So, what of its speed, rate of climb, warhead, range, hull form? Mind your own business.
The American report was obtained recently under the Freedom of Information Act. The few patches not blacked out tell us that the KUGELBLITZ was an anti-aircraft weapon due to enter service in March 1945.

The highest known priority for any project in the Third Reich was “KRIEGSENTSCHEIDEND” – decisive for the war. Only one single project was awarded this category under the protocol of 21.7.1942., the AEG electrical giant´s project CHARITE ANLAGE. Directed by Dr Richard Krämer, it involved the use of tremendous voltages in a Plasma Physics project “which will last until at least the end of the war.” It is known that this project involved spinning containers of mercury at fantastic speeds within a ceramic bell-shaped object.
Another scientist, Kurt Debus, elaborated the theory known as SEPARATION OF MAGNETIC FIELDS. [See certificates issued 22 April 1943 and other documents in: NARA/RG Foreign Scientist Case Files K Debus, Box 28, US NAT Archive, College Park.]

It is generally known in Germany that the aircraft had a tortoise shape and probably resembled a midget Me 163.
At some point in its ascent the hydrogen peroxide engine cut out and the ion mercury plasma engine cut in and the craft moved into another magnetic field where, as we have seen, it lost its distinctive aircraft shape and became a fireball to the human eye. In Magnetic Field II it was invulnerable. It then homed onto an Allied aircraft but did nothing.
The point was of course, that the craft was invulnerable in Magnetic Field II, but it worked both ways, and Allied aircraft were invulnerable to IT. In all probability, German scientists had not figured out at that stage how to get the foo-fighter out of Magnetic Field II into Magnetic Field I at altitude where it could explode alongside the Allied aircraft.
If this could have been achieved, the Reich would have regained air supremacy, for this was an anti-aircraft weapon with a 100% success rate at last – it would have exploded five meters from the aircraft fuselage giving the B-29 or Lancaster no chance of survival whatever.

This February 1942 photo, is supposedly of a UFO that was tracked and fired upon over World War II, Los Angeles. There were many explanations for the barrage that was thrown up over Los Angeles, military and civil authorities at first thought that a Japanese plane or planes were over the city, a night raid. Then others said it was a off course American pilot who was in a no fly zone. Another story was a barrage balloon had broken from it’s cable, swamp gas, itchy trigger fingers, imagination, at one time or another were the culprits for setting off the fireworks. The comedy movie “1941″ mentions this incident. The photo is supposedly of the UFO that was shot at as it went over Los Angeles in 1942. Some people say it’s a picture from a propoganda film. The bottom line is, that the night skies of Los Angeles were lit up by A/A fire in 1942, what they were shooting at is debated. One web page viewer suggested that perhaps the L.A. photo is from some old WWII gunnery film or montage, in training how to shoot down an enemy plane. Perhaps, there seems to be something just not right about this photo.



This World War II photo of a Japanese torpedo/bomber has been around since the 1960′s. Some say it’s legit others say it’s a doctored combat strike photo. The UFO’s (LIGHTS) can be clearly seen.



This photo shows B17′s in combat formation, some UFO’s off in the distance and a fighter closing on a flying fortress. Is this fighter, a single engined allied plane or an enemy Me109, by it’s cowling it looks like an Axis (enemy) fighter. I think this photo is a fake, notice how close the fighter is to the B17 and how out of proportion the fighter is? Then again this photo could be legit, and I could be wrong, but where is the tracer fire? Maybe it’s a doctored photo from film stock from the 1962 movie “THE WAR LOVER”.



This photo is not PRE 1947. It is a modern photo of a CONCORD jet over UK with a UFO (FOO FIGHTER) next to the jet. The FOO FIGHTER, cruised above the jet, then cirlced unfderneath the craft, and disapeared as if it melded with the plane or just blinked out. Various sources claim this happened in the 1970′s and others 1990′s. This is a still from a film, shot from a jet that was flying next to the Concord.

Arrow points to Foo fighters, I guess there is something out there. Under the planes there seems to be some roundish things? Imagination? Foo Fighters?

 

This photo shows Foo fighters during World War II. I think not, maybe? The Foos could be flairs from another B-17. For example, maybe the lead bomber had battle damage it’s recievor transmitor was shot out and is signaling by flairs for Deputy Leader to take over the squadron.

Fake WORLD WAR II photo? Or the real thing? I think it is real. Notice this cluster of craft or light, as compared to the 1952 photo out of MASSACHUSETTS below. One group of aliens, seems to travel in groups of four craft or light spheres.

10. Ordo Templi Orientis

Ordo Templi Orientis is a mystic organization that was started in the early twentieth century. The group was established along the same lines as the less secretive Freemasons, and supposedly relies on ritual and occult practices as a means for members to move from one level of prestige to another within the organization. The general philosophy of the group was a belief in new age esoteric principles and practices as a method of realizing one’s true identity. Famed occultist and all-around eccentric Aleister Crowley composed much of the group’s lore, including a manifesto called the Mysteria Mystica Maxima, and he later became its head. After his death, the influence and popularity of Ordo Templi Orientis began to wane, but it still exists today and has various chapters scattered across the world, chiefly in the United States, the U.K., and other parts of Europe. As Aleister Crowley’s popularity as a new age figure has continued to grow, more and more of the teachings of the Ordo Templi Orientis have come to light. As such, the group makes much less of an attempt to be secretive today than it did in the past. This doesn’t mean that they don’t still have some bizarre practices.

The Krypteia was an ancient rite of passage for promising young Spartan men who had completed their formal education. Naked and armed with only a knife, these 18-year-olds were instructed to survive by any means necessary as they patrolled the countryside in search of revolts and misdeeds. Those who survived (and indeed many did perish) were welcomed with open arms into the Spartan army.

8. The Fenians

The Fenian Brotherhood was an Irish nationalist organization dedicated to eradicating British rule in Ireland. Founded by John O’Mahony in 1858, the American-based group hoped to achieve its aims by invading British-occupied Canada and holding it hostage in return for Ireland’s emancipation. As far-fetched as their plan may sound, it wasn’t without merit. After all, the Brotherhood counted among its members thousands of men who had fought during the American Civil War and it had the financial support of tens of thousands of Irish immigrants. Equipped with military training as well as patriotic love, the Fenians attacked Canada on three separate occasions in 1866, 1870 and 1871. On each occasion, they were repelled by a combination of Canadian voluntary forces and American government intervention. The movement eventually fell apart, but its legacy is still felt: According to many historians, the risk posed by the Fenians was one of the most important impetuses for the confederation of Canada. The Fenian Brotherhood was named in honor of the Fianna, a brave band of ancient Irish warriors.

7. The Black Hand

The Black Hand was a secret society of anti-imperialist political revolutionaries that was started in Serbia in 1912. It formed as an offshoot from Narodna Adbrona, a group that sought to unite all of the Slavic people of Europe under one country. This required the separation of Serbia from the monarchy of Austria-Hungary, which had annexed the country some years before. With this in mind, the group began disseminating anti-Austrian propaganda and training saboteurs and assassins to disrupt political rule within the province. Their plan was to incite a war between Serbia and Austria, which would give them a chance to free their country and unite the different Slavic nations as one. Black Hand would be all but forgotten today if not for their unlikely involvement in one of the biggest events of the twentieth century. In 1914, the group engineered the assassination of the Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The job was badly botched, and was only completed when a low-level hood named Gavrilo Princip stumbled upon the Archduke’s car and shot him to death at close range (see photo). Still, the results of the assassination were catastrophic. Within days, Austria-Hungary had declared war on Serbia, and after the allies of both countries joined the fray, the small dispute managed to escalate into WWI. The aftermath of WWI eventually led to WWII, and this led to the Cold War, which makes the Black Hand one of the most strangely influential forces of the twentieth century.

6. Majestic 12

Majestic 12  is the alleged code name of a secret committee of scientists, military leaders, and government officials, supposedly formed in 1947 by an executive order of U.S. President Harry S Truman. The alleged purpose of the committee was to investigate UFO activity in the aftermath of the Roswell incident—the supposed crash of the alien spaceship near Roswell, New Mexico, in July 1947. The Majestic 12 is an important part of the UFO conspiracy theory of an ongoing government cover up of UFO information. All the alleged original members of MJ-12 were notable for their military, government, and/or scientific achievements, and all were deceased when the documents first surfaced.

5. Vril Society

Vril is a substance described in Edward Bulwer-Lytton’s 1871 novel The Coming Race, which was later reprinted as Vril: The Power of the Coming Race. The novel is an early example of science fiction. However, many early readers believed that its account of a superior subterranean master race and the energy-form called “Vril” was accurate, to the extent that some theosophists accepted the book as truth. Furthermore, since 1960 there has been a conspiracy theory about a secret Vril Society. Speculation on Vril has not ceased. The legend has received a further layer of elaboration from recent authors like Raymond Bernard who conflate Bulwer-Lytton’s “Coming Race” with speculations about interior civilizations which live on the inside of the Hollow Earth. (The concept of a hollow earth was first advanced by Edmond Halley at the end of the seventeenth century.) By contrast, Bulwer-Lytton’s subterranean people dwelt in caverns within the crust of a solid earth. The world of the Vril-ya is always described as being underground tunnels, artificially lit (using Vril). The book contains no suggestion of a hollow earth; theories of this kind are only found in subsequent works. Bulwer-Lytton makes many references to the scientists of his time such as Faraday and Darwin proving the existence of Vril.

3. Thule Society

The Thule Society, was a German occultist and völkisch group in Munich, named after a mythical northern country from Greek legend. The Society is notable chiefly as the organization that sponsored the Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (DAP), which was later transformed by Adolf Hitler into the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (Nazi Party). There is no evidence that Hitler ever attended the Thule Society. But there was great enthusiasm among Thule members for Hitler, most notably Rudolf Hess and Dietrich Eckart. The occultists believed Hitler to be the prophesied “redeemer of Germany”. They were Hitler’s first “disciples” and as such were crucial to his meteoric rise. A primary focus of Thule-Gesellschaft was a claim concerning the origins of the Aryan race. “Thule”  was a land located by Greco-Roman geographers in the furthest north (often displayed as Iceland).The term “Ultima Thule”  is also mentioned by the Roman poet Virgil in his pastoral poems called the Georgics. Although originally Thule was probably the name for Scandinavia, Virgil simply uses it as a proverbial expression for the edge of the known world, and his mention should not be taken as a substantial reference to Scandinavia. They identified Ultima Thule, said by Nazi mystics to be the capital of ancient Hyperborea, as a lost ancient landmass in the extreme north: near Greenland or Iceland. These ideas derived from earlier speculation by Ignatius L. Donnelly that a lost landmass had once existed in the Atlantic, and that it was the home of the Aryan race, a theory he supported by reference to the distribution of swastika motifs.

2. The Priory of Sion

After the publication of the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, a great deal of interest in the Priory of Sion has been created. The Prieuré de Sion, translated from French as Priory of Sion, is a name given to multiple groups, both real and fictitious. Unfortunately for those hoping to find and join the Priory, it is claimed fictional by many. They say it was a hoax created in 1956 by a pretender to the French Throne, Pierre Plantard. Despite this, many people still continue to believe that the Priory exists and functions to this day. The authors of the well known book, The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, misled by the hoax, stated:
1. The Priory of Sion has a long history starting in AD 1099, and had illustrious Grand Masters including Isaac Newton and Leonardo da Vinci.
2. The order protects certain royal claimants because they believe them to be the literal descendants of Jesus and his alleged wife Mary Magdalene or, at the very least, of king David.
3. The priory seeks the founding of a “Holy European Empire” that would become the next hyperpower and usher in a new world order of peace and prosperity.

1. Opus Dei

Opus Dei is an organization of the Catholic Church that emphasizes the Catholic belief that everyone is called to holiness and that ordinary life is a path to sanctity. The celibate numeraries and numerary assistants live in special centers, while associates are celibate members living in their private homes. The order was founded in Spain in 1928 by Roman Catholic priest Josemaría Escrivá with the approval of Pope Pius XII. When Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code was published, it claimed that Opus Dei was a secret organization within the Church whose aim was to defeat the Priory of Sion and those who seek to uncover the “truth” about Christianity and the alleged royal bloodline of Christ. Outside of the book, there has been a great deal of controversy over Opus Dei because of the strictness of its religious structure. The Catholic Church forbids secret societies and membership in them, and Opus Dei investigators have frequently debunked claims that this organization is acting in secrecy to further a sinister agenda.

“Ancient Aliens” Tackles the American Old West

Last night, I sat down with a friend to watch an episode of Ancient Aliens that I had recorded the day before on my DVR, a rerun from earlier in the season titled, “Aliens and the Old West”. At first, I was in disbelief that it was actually referring to our old west, the one with cowboys, Indians, outlaws, etc, but then I realized, “This is the History Channel we are talking about. They’re probably going to tell us that Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday were from the planet Mars.” While this episode did not go that far, some aspects were very, very close to such. I had a notebook in hand as I jotted things down as they went along throughout the hour-long episode. I never thought I would actually be doing this, but since my last breakdown of Discovery’s Channel’s upcoming Civil War series was such a hit, I figured I would do another blow-by-blow analysis of the show that makes us question our origins…and our sanity.
